Choose the coast and actual boarding place
The sailing-yacht search records departures including Bormes-les-Mimosas, Bandol, Cogolin and Port Grimaud, Propriano on Corsica, and Arzon, La Trinité-sur-Mer, Saint-Quay-Portrieux and La Rochelle on the Atlantic and Channel side. Begin with the area that fits your holiday rather than treating these starts as interchangeable.
Read the marina on the selected yacht’s dated offer and confirm where you return it. A town can have more than one harbour, and a destination photograph need not show the collection berth. Use the departure pages to narrow the locality, then organise travel around the actual confirmed handover instructions.
Compare the recorded sailing configuration
When supplied, the yacht page can show mainsail and genoa configuration alongside length and draught. Compare those recorded fields across particular boats and ask about details that are missing. A sail label by itself does not establish how suitable a yacht is for your crew or the waters you want.
Read the cabin and berth plan, equipment and charter mode with the same guest count and dates on each offer. Check sleeping arrangements for everyone in the party and how a requested skipper affects accommodation. The operator should confirm the specific boat and supplied services before you settle the shortlist.
Settle skipper arrangements and the full offer
For a bareboat request, ask Charter Easy to check the charter company’s required documents for the chosen yacht and destination. For an accompanied charter, confirm whether the skipper is included, obligatory or optional and clarify the service scope and price. The yacht type alone does not settle the arrangement.
Compare the charter price, known mandatory charges and payments at the marina. Keep the refundable deposit separate and read its conditions in the confirmed documents. Clarify unpriced services and other missing details before treating two quotations as equivalent.
Build the voyage plan around the selected yacht
Use the relevant Météo-France coastal and offshore forecasts for the intended waters and consult Shom’s nautical updates. Where tide information matters to the plan, use its current tide-prediction resources. The yacht’s recorded specifications are useful comparison fields alongside that voyage planning.
Send your preferred French departure, dates, crew size, accommodation needs and skipper request to Charter Easy. We help narrow the offers, clarify the operator’s confirmation and coordinate questions before departure, during the charter and after return.
