Planning your charter

Plan the mainland approach through Galatas

The official road-arrival description for Poros finishes at Galatas on the mainland, followed by a ferry crossing to the island. If that is your chosen approach, make the crossing a separate part of your travel planning.

Check current passenger arrangements independently and confirm the yacht's meeting point with the operator. The arrival pattern does not establish a ferry timetable, a transfer service or a berth for the charter.

Keep Poros town and the handover address distinct

The island's neoclassical town and prominent clock tower provide a recognisable setting for time ashore. They identify the Poros covered by this guide without selecting a particular yacht meeting point.

Keep the full base details from the offer when discussing arrival. Once a yacht is shortlisted, ask for the departure and return instructions for your dates rather than relying on a general town landmark.

Choose the yacht and clarify its terms

Compare the supplied cabins, berths, equipment and charter mode for your group. Check whether any skipper service is included, obligatory or optional, and ask Charter Easy to help resolve missing details with the operator.

Read the charter price together with mandatory extras and payments due at the marina. Review the refundable deposit separately, including its conditions in the charter documents.

Questions before you choose

  • Which Poros does this charter page cover?

The Saronic island described by the Greek National Tourism Organisation, with its neoclassical town and clock tower. Keep that island identity with your yacht enquiry.

  • How does Galatas fit into the arrival plan?

The official road-arrival description ends at mainland Galatas and continues with a ferry crossing to Poros. Check current crossing arrangements separately from the yacht booking.

  • Is a transfer from Galatas included with a yacht?

The road-and-ferry arrival description does not establish an included transfer. Ask the selected operator to confirm the services in the offer and the yacht meeting point.

  • What should I confirm before booking a Poros yacht?

Confirm the dates, departure and return bases, accommodation and skipper-service scope. Review mandatory charges, marina payments and the refundable-deposit conditions alongside the charter price.
